With
talent and determination Emma Feline has achieved international
status and recognition as a leading urban DJ. She began mixing
UK Garage in 1997 and has been playing Hip Hop and R&B since
2000. Her precise mixing, formidable selection and versatile
style works any crowd into a frenzy, and her record box has been
a passport to jet set around the world. From India to America,
Estonia to Barbados, Dubai to Ibiza, the list goes on.
Her career literally began overnight when DJ Funky Smith asked if she wanted to stand in for him at Bar Code in London. Even though Emma had only been shown the ropes a week before, she went for it and was immediately offered a weekly residency. She quickly joined forces with Lynda Phoenix, another female DJ who shared her passion for music. The duo made their radio debut a few weeks later after blagging the Sunday 6am- 8am slot on pirate radio London Underground. Within a year they were promoted to Sunday afternoon and set up London's Most Wanted, an all girl DJ collective that became of great interest to the media. Guest appearances with Steve Jackson, The Dreem Teem, and Woman's hour on Radio 4, newspaper and magazine features in The Guardian, Time Out, Evening Standard, DJ Magazine and Touch along with T.V interviews and documentaries on Channel 4 and MTV gave the exposure needed to secure bookings at many high profile UK events including a residency with Twice As Nice at The End. During 1999 Upfront FM was the pirate du jour, and Emma was one of their flagship DJ's, presenting a popular radio show and playing at packed Upfront parties. In 2002 she joined London's No 1 for Hip Hop and R&B Choice FM (owned by Capital) to host the Wednesday night 'Raw Selection', a blend of cutting edge music with special guest interviews. In January 2004 her musical knowledge and presenting skills were rewarded with promotion to a Sunday daytime show. In 2000 London Most Wanted split and Emma began touring the USA three times a year, building up a faithful following in New York, Baltimore, North Carolina, Washington DC, Brooklyn, Atlanta, Miami, Gainesville, Seattle, LA and Dallas, where she is hailed as a major pioneer of UK Garage and 2 Step. During these trips she would hunt down the latest Hip Hop and R&B records before their UK release. Not just a talented DJ, Emma Feline turned her skills to the studio, producing and remixing tracks under the alias of London's Most Wanted, Fierce and Funky and Tombraider and setting up her own label 'Stereotherapy' - The gold selling compilation 'Twice as Nice, Urban Flava's was one of the largest selling urban compilation's ever - being expertly mixed mixed by Emma and Steve Sutherland, and featuring her own productions 'Indian Summer'. With her fingure on the pulse of a vibrant UK Emma was also approached by Tense Magazine in 2003 to write her own column. The aptly named 'Decks in the City' is bursting with candid stories, collected on her DJ travels, and she took the concept with her when she was asked to join Touch Magazine in 2005. Discography (1999) Fierce & Funky - 'Everybody' (Stereotherapy), (1999) Fierce & Funky - 'Pump Up' (Stereotherapy), (2000) Fierce Funky Remix - 'Come Together' (Dance Off Records), (2000) London's Most Wanted Remix - Ft. Valerie M 'Positive In Motion' (Nice 'n' Ripe), (2000) London's Most Wanted Remix - Mykila 'Who's Stalking Me?' (Dance Off Records), (2001) Tombraider - '911' (All Good Records), (2001) Tombraider - 'Get Crunked Up' (All Good Records), (2001) Feline v Davie G Remix - Nu Future 'I Can't Wait' (Radar), (2002) Feline v Paleface - 'Indian Summer' (Stereotherapy), (2002) Twice As Nice Urban Flava's Compilation (Warner Music) |

JOYCE MERCEDES SPACE TOUR (NL) THE NO 1 FEMALE PROGRESSIVE
HOUSE DJ Her flawless choice of records
shows a nose for a quality tune and her exceptional mix technique
takes the dance floor from easy and accessible vocal harmonies
through deep and funky foot food to deep, trippy and hypnotic
beats, soaring to stunning prog trance monsters - a spectacular
set that evidences a diverse musical vocabulary. From her birthplace in Nijmegen
Joyce began work as a dancer for leading organizations Pantera
and Extension, later moving to Amsterdam and performing with
her dance colleagueon the Strycker & Holmes World Tour a
sparkling dance show in some of the most famous clubs in the
World. Her passion for music lies in her dancing as well as her
singing. In the not to distant past Joyce was part of Centerfold,
the group that sang in 1998 to a sold out Amsterdam Arena during
half time of the classic football game Ajax-PSV Eindhoven . Centerfold
also added lustre to the 15th year anniversary of Playboy anf
Joyce worked regularly as a model, featuring in campaigns for
Heineken, Campari, Gap-Star and Playboy. Not being content with success
in two fields Joyces passion for music drove her to invest in
truntables and master the art of mixing. Her first performance
before an audience took place in sunny Miami at a private party
and very soon word spread and the bookings started to roll in,
culminating in a DJ residency at the well known Amsterdam Superclub
and a 2-year tour with Ibiza's Space World Tour to crown it all
off. At this moment Joyce has performed in almost every
major club in mainland Europe, North and South America as well
as many in the Far East. Her striving for success has
naturally led her into the recording studio to produce her own
music, which will finally bear fruit this year with a 12"
erelease imminent, though Joyce admits that she struggles to
fit in production time around her busy live schedule. If
it's anywhere near as good as her live sets it will be worth
the wait!

in Cannes, Attitude magazines 10th Birthday Party, and
most recently the opening of the exclusive Z Lounge
in Moscow, and a launch party for Oakley Sunglasses. She has
also appeared at major festivals and pride events, laying to
over 2,000 people at the Purple In The Park Festival in Brockwell
Park 2002, at Wild Fruits events at the Brighton Dome 2002/2003,
and most recently at Facepartys exclusive Carnivale
de lEtrange at the Atlantis Gallery. DJ Philly has
an impressive and varied client list including W Hotels, Oakley,
China White, Faceparty, Coco Latte Events + PR, Ministry of Sound,
and Martini. Philly regularly plays alongside
some of the industrys biggest names - The Scissor Sisters,
Shortee Blitz, Masterstepz, Boy George, Lisa Pin Up, Krafty Kutz,
MOBO Award winner Steve Sutherland, The Freestylers, Angie Brown,
Sonique, DJ Kinky D (formerly of BBC 1Xtra), and even Margarita
Pracatan! Philly also plays back to back
with deck partner Kinky D at their Firmed-Up promotion and TOUR along with female MCs, percussionists
and live vocals. Innovative and intuitive, DJ Philly can be relied
upon to deliver a quality set to suit every crowd. Alongside her DJ and promotion
career, Philly has also worked and written for Rolling Stone
magazine in New York, as well as taking her talents on air as
both a producer and presenter. She pioneered Purple radios
first, and immensely successful URBAN DNA show, from
there she moved on to present the Funk Sessions on
Unknown 97.1FM, and then on to co-hosting the Firmed Up
show with Kinky D every Saturday on Urban Fresh 96.1FM. Philly
is now moving onward and upwards to more radio, voice-over, and
TV work in a variety of genres. "Philly
had that space rocking - we found it the perfect place to indulge
in a few grinds and catch some of the finest urban flavas in
the capital."
